Robert Flaherty's documentary NANOOK OF THE NORTH, about the Inuit people who lived off the frigid landscape of the Arctic North, is a seminal work of film history. In GREAT NORTH, produced for the massive IMAX screen, Nanook's very own grandson serves as narrator, taking viewers through the rich, white majesty of the setting in which he and his people still live. Along with doing justice to the breathtaking and awesome landscape of the freezing, snow-covered environment, GREAT NORTH also looks into the long-standing traditions, such as fishing and hunting, of the Inuit tribes.
