Through Slanted Windows

A boy laughs and shivers under the covers as funnymen and murderers stream into his bedroom at night. A passion ignites in him to fly on the air, too. He performs for his parents over the kitchen Zenith from a basement microphone. When he could be dating girls in high school, he visits radio stations. As he matures, his path to becoming a broadcaster is challenged by family losses and missed opportunities. The story is abundant with personal recollections of the waning Golden Age of Radio and the first decade of rock n roll.
