On the edge of the Whitethorn moor stands the ruin of a house once filled with laughter and warmth. Long ago it burned, leaving only charred beams and stone walls blackened against the sky.

But when a wandering stranger seeks shelter in the ruin, he finds the fire has not gone out entirely. Shadows move in the scorched rooms, footsteps echo in the hollow halls, and voices call from behind walls that no longer stand.
