Beth Woodson is living a normal, routine life until the day she takes her dog, Gracie, out for a drive. She unwittingly stops in a magical town that enables her dog to talk. Her dog convinces her to buy a house in the town where Beth meets a multitude of magical beings.
She has a scared ghost living in her house searching for his long lost fiance, her realtor is a vegetarian werewolf. There's a vampire who faints at the sight of blood, and a Frankenstein creation who's held together with Velcro.
When various magical beings start turning up missing in the town, including Beth's dog, she helps the local hunky sheriff's deputy (also a vegetarian werewolf) uncover the culprit.
Join Beth on her wild ride down the rabbit hole, as she tries to come to grips with the magical misfits she encounters while trying to keep her free-spirited grandmother out of trouble.
