Eyes Wide Shut

I never thought in a million years that I would be fighting for my life from the moment that I said I DO! I didn't think it could happen to me, because I was a strong, smart, intelligent, and, feisty fighter. However, it did happen to me. I found myself cowardly kneeling on all fours quietly peeking through the bushes so that my cover wouldn't be blown by my abuser whom I called lover, friend, protector, and HUSBAND.
