The origin of Self unLimited was author Helen Palmer’s own workscape journey of over two decades. When faced with various career choices, she began to consider all the factors that made a particular role enticing. Documenting a list of those factors and taking personal responsibility to see that those factors were in play and were fulfilled was a major turning point. She began looking at herself as a business even while employed by someone else.

In reviewing the situations she was in and the choices she made, she realised that the journey wasn’t always straightforward, and that what she was learning could be helpful to others.

This book is full of practical advice and useful exercises to help you become more self-aware of your own career journey. Some of the ideas and advice will resonate with you, and some won’t - take what works and put the rest aside. It may be relevant later on, or it may never be useful. It’s the spirit of Self unLimited, that you make the choices about the best fit for you in changing your workscape
