Nicolas Lefeuvre

After 15 years in Asia as Artistic Director for Chanel, Nicolas Lefeuvre, represented by the Galerie Jean-François Cazeau in Paris, returns in this book on his last 10 years of artistic creations brought together under the title INK WORKS 2010-2020. Having passed through the École des Beaux-Arts, Rennes, he has never stopped painting and gives us here for the first time his moving and luminous inks, deeply inspired by the Asian landscapes he travelled through during his years in China and Japan. His work immediately met with success with both Asian and European audiences. Through three series of inks on paper entitled Landscapes, "The State I'm in" and "Self Archeology", the artist explores his relationship to the landscape both geographically and mentally. In cross-interviews with the two authors, he reveals his original practice of ink, trusting his inspirations and his personal path towards abstract expressionism.
